We are looking for the next generation of trainee business advisors to join our growing Private Client Tax team in our Aberdeen office. **The Role**

**Private Client Tax Trainee (Aberdeen)**

There is so much more to Private Client Tax than submitting our clients annual tax return While tax return completion is important to ensure that our clients meet their tax obligations with HM Revenue & Customs, it’s an important opportunity for us to lookbehind the numbers and recommend any tax saving opportunities to ensure our clients are paying the right amount of tax, now and in the future.

As a trainee at AAB, no two days are the same, you will be learning your profession from people with a great deal of experience and expertise in business, finance and technology.

You will support our clients with all aspects of their private tax issues to ensure that they meet their tax compliance obligations with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC). This can include preparing tax returns, repayment claims, preparing income tax computationsand dealing with correspondence from HMRC.

It is important that you are a good communicator as well as being good with numbers, so that as you develop as a Tax Advisor, you are comfortable with liaising with clients to advise on all of issues arising from their personal tax affairs along with deliveringawesome client service.

**Entry Requirements**

This role is open to both graduates and school leavers, so a degree is not essential, we do however have the following entry requirements:

- If applicable, a 2:1 degree with honours
- AABB at Higher level or equivalent
- Minimum B grade in both English and Maths at National 5 or equivalent
- An interest in technology
- A passion for pursuing a career in an accountancy and business advisory firm

Credit is given to those with accounting/financial related work experience and/or experience in technology/computing.
