**The role...**

We are currently looking for a Chartered Quantity Surveyor to join our team, in our Billericay office.

The role will involve providing Quantity Surveying services across a range of sectors, with all types of construction projects, from outset until completion.
- Provide cost advice for all types of construction and procurement routes.
- Produce cost plan and budget to suit client requirements and contract documents for projects to be tendered.
- Advise on contractual matters and guide clients to seek legal input or drafting, when necessary.
- Assess tenders and make recommendations to clients by providing a tender analysis.
- Support the Project Manager and attend site visits and project meetings.
- Agree final accounts with Contractors and clients.
- Appoint specialist Contractors if required, and communicate with clients to keep them fully informed of progress.

**Essential skills, experience, and attributes...**
- Full and detailed knowledge of Building Regulations and traditional and modern construction techniques.
- Familiarity with Building Control management systems.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying.
- Full Chartered Membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
- Knowledge of the suite of JCT contracts and NEC knowledge.
