**About the role**

As a Security Officer, you will play an integral role in keeping our site safe and secure. You will be working as part of the Security team on site to manage access control for buildings and car parks for employees, visitors and contractors. You will be patrolling buildings, car parks and the full grounds to deter and detect problems. Additionally, you will monitor alarm systems and CCTV.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Patrolling and inspecting the premises regularly to maintain high levels of site security and be proactive in protecting the Company’s assets
- Monitoring and controlling alarm systems
- Ensuring safe access and egress to the site
- Verifying vehicles are in correct permitted car parking areas
- Record and communicate to the appropriate parties any incidents or irregularities
- Controlling and effectively monitoring contractors and visitors onto and off site
- Ensuring all carriers, haulers, delivery/contractor vehicles, and visitor are logged in and out; advising on delivery location and timing
- Liaise with emergency services and public authorities as and when required
- Carry out stop and search where required (staff, visitors, contractors)
- Deal with public enquiries arriving at the security gate
- Ensuring that all nonessential equipment, lighting, and compressed air are switched off once the workforce has left the factory
- Ensuring the site is secure by checking windows/doors etc are secure
- Maintaining the security log
- Supporting with gritting and clearing snow on site when required

- Previous experience of working in a security role (Preferred but not essential)
