London, United Kingdom East London NHS Foundation Trust Full time

At Newham Talking Therapies we aim to ensure that we deliver the care and treatment that we would want for our loved ones. To meet this aim, we are looking for practitioners who are passionate about delivering effective and responsive therapies.

We can only provide residents the tools to change their lives by having effective staff Newham Talking Therapies can help you develop and cultivate your clinical therapy approaches. Newham is a wonderfully diverse borough that offers practitioners so much wealth in terms of learning from our residents. If you are looking to widen your therapy experience, gain expertise or to have opportunities to progress clinically or within management areas, NTT could be the place for you

So who are we?

We are where IAPT begun Newham Talking Therapies was the first NHS IAPT pilot site which from our service led to the national role of IAPT, one of the world’s largest mental health projects. We are also one of the longest running and clinically effective IAPT services in the country.

We are committed to the progression of our team members and our posts are formulated to allow for development of clinical expertise in chosen clinical areas. As well as offering a range of therapies, the service also runs as a training centre, therefore offering opportunities for supervision and training. NTT prides ourselves on being innovators in best practice and a service that is always looking to enhance our provision to our residents.

Who are we looking for?

We are aiming to recruit High Intensity CBT Therapists to join our creative and high performing team

You will work alongside professionals from various clinical approaches trained in modalities such as guided self-help, EMDR, IPT, DIT, CfD, BCT and more We also have a dedicated team working with physical health related problems and long-term conditions; this offers many opportunities to work within other internal teams.

You would also hold a small caseload of face-to-face clients and offer the majority of your clinical work via video and telephone. Currently our staff are attending our clinical buildings one day a week and then working the rest of the week at home, this would be continually reviewed inline with our clinical demands.

We welcome therapists who are looking to develop their expertise working with PTSD and as part of this role we will offer the opportunity to begin EMDR training within the first year of employment and PTSD based CPD.

Our mission is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive - so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations.
