We are looking to recruit Assistant to join the existing team at the busy Study Centre located in the centre of Golders Green, North West London. We currently have students ranging from 3-15 years so the role is well-suited for someone based locally who enjoys working with children and communicating with parents.

The position would suit someone in full-time education as well as someone with a family or other part-time work commitments, or a retired person looking for a few hours work per week.

Responsibilities will include:

- listening to children read
- assisting students when they need help
- setting up and packing away the class
- marking and recording students’ classwork and homework

Person specification:

- be passionate about working with children of early age
- friendly and helpful manner
- reliable and punctual
- excellent organisational skills
- excellent communication with children, parents and colleaguesa keen eye for detail and ability to spot mistakesClass times are Monday and Thursday 3.30-6.30 pm. You will need to be flexible to be present before and after class for setting up, packing away and administrative tasks.

**Salary**:

- £5.00 - £9.50 per hour depending on age and experience.

Knowledge of the Kumon is desirable but not necessary as full training will be provided. This may be outside of class hours at a mutually convenient time and will be paid for.
