Communications Advisor
About The Role**
- Take multichannel briefs and deliver on brand, message and budget for key stakeholders across the business
- Work on multi channel external brand campaigns, corporate reports and marketing activity (in print and digital)
- Create content for external and internal audiences; with experience of audience personas, accessibility, and channel management
- Brief and oversee the work of internal and external agencies, such as designers, animators and printers
- Be the brand guardian to raise brand awareness, educate colleagues and protect reputation. Ensure that our brand and identity is adhered to in campaigns and across all communication channels
- Write, edit and proofread copy for external and internal channels. Take the initiative to find stories and consider suitable channels.
- Work on editorial scheduling of content, content creation and storytelling
- Seek out new channels and ways to reach diverse and hard to reach audiences
- Maintain budget control and regular measurement of the ROI of campaigns based on channels
- Ensure accuracy of marketing materials and provide formal sign off if necessary
- Collect and use data to inform new campaigns and the evaluation of existing campaigns
- Regularly update the website, social media and other digital channels
- Support event organisation, materials, and logistics
- Support webinars and podcasts, creating, deploying and measuring
- Develop video content and support other creative ways to deliver key messages and content
- Understand data management and GDPR compliance
- Competitor analysis; support the team with understanding industry changes and progress
- Systems and process management - ensuring processes are followed and developed to meet the needs of the team and business
- Keep abreast of current trends in marketing and maintain awareness of social media and digital channels
This role will also support corporate reporting; planning, content gathering, copy writing, data validation and proofreading
- Support design and layouts including imagery and photography
- Act as the liaison between the function and external reporting agency from quotation process through to production; delivering on time and budget
- Produce engaging online content, turning report messages into digital and social content
- Support report planning with key stakeholders, understand sign off processes and success measures
**About You**
We're looking for individuals with the following skills & experience:
- Educated to degree level with demonstrable professional development.
- Professional Marketing, Communications, or equivalent professional qualification
- A strong communicator with experience of delivering multichannel marketing campaigns
- Able to manage and prioritise complex, competing communication issues - maintaining high standards and alignment with business strategy at pace and with mínimal guidance
- Analytical thinker with the ability to draw together and synthesise many different information sources and come to logical conclusions
- Articulate interpersonal communication skills across all media and in all contexts, with true gravitas and an easy manner when working with senior stakeholders
- Excellent written communication skills. Good visual sense and design awareness
- Experienced in working with design agencies and printers
- High level of understanding of the utilities sector
- Highly articulate and persuasive communicator, across all media
- Project Management skills; as a manager of multiple marketing communications campaigns, your ability to prioritise and manage to tight timescales is essential
- Proven experience of working within a multi-stakeholder environment. Ability to explain marketing concepts and guide the business towards successful communications outcomes
- Proven track record in delivering measurable multichannel marketing communications campaigns, delivering ROI for both B2B and B2C
- Respect for others and an understanding of working with diverse and hard to reach audience groups both internally and externally
- Well organised individual able to manage a diverse and complex workload
