Interim Communications Advisor

Morson are working with a leading Energy client who are looking to hire an Interim Comms Advisor for an initial period of 12 months to support on an exciting project. The role will be dedicated to supporting the Vulnerability & Social Impact team and providededicated Marcomms support to this team.

Working as a Communications Advisor you'll provide reporting and marketing communications support to the business, ensuring that campaigns are measurable, meet business outcomes and deliver value. You'll really make a difference in protecting and buildingthe businesses brand.

**Responsibilities**:

- Taking multi-channel briefs and delivering full end to end campaigns for the Vulnerability and Social Purpose team - from conception through to launch; including full print delivery, digital channels and media.
- Owning a programme of communication campaigns to meet objectives set by our regulator and strategy team.
- Brief and oversee work of internal and external agencies, such as designers, animators, printers who will deliver much of the campaign activity.
- Ability to write, edit and proofread key messages and content to support customer and colleague experience across a variety of channels.
- Understand audience personas and targeting key messages across a range of activity.
- Support event organisation, materials, merchandise, and logistics; from planning, producing, delivery and post event analysis
- Update the website with new content, campaign activity and publish social media channels
- Maintain regular measurement of the ROI of campaigns based on channels
- Ensure accuracy of marketing materials and provide formal sign off if necessary
- Collect and use data to inform new campaigns and the evaluation of existing campaigns
- Keeping up to date with current trends and actively undertake competitive analysis with an awareness of industry wide activity with other GDNs, utilities and key stakeholders.
- Work within a budget and report any overspend
- Data management and GDPR compliance

- Educated to degree level
- Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, copywriting and proofreading skills
- Organised with ability to manage and prioritise complex workloads with competing deadlines and short timescales
- Proactive and personable approach to be a trusted representative
- Ability to demonstrate attention to detail, data accuracy and consistency
- Creative thinker - seeking to solve problems with good visual sense and design awareness
- Analytical ability to draw together and synthesize many different information sources and come to logical conclusions
- Articulate interpersonal communication skills across all media and in all contexts, with an easy manner when working with senior stakeholders
- Confidence with ability to suggest ideas and challenge status quo when needed
- Experience working with agencies
- Respect for others and an understanding of working with diverse and hard to reach audience groups both internally and externally
- Translate technical issues for a business audience and business issues for a technical audience
- Understand importance to collaborate with others and willingness to learn about the wider business
- Systems - creative software such as Photoshop, Premier Pro, Canva, Website CMS, all office packages and social media channels
- Working knowledge of paid channels such as Facebook and Google - setting up, targeting and developing paid adverts
