As a Senior Buyer, you'll take procurement responsibility for all materials purchasing using SAP with a significant budget, and you'll focus your skills on assisting the delivery of a major programme or transformation project. Either way, you'll play a pivotalrole within Purchasing - selecting suppliers to provide optimum value and quality, directing teams to deliver a range of activities, and developing successful supply base strategies. Deploying leading edge purchasing techniques, deftly managing relationshipswith key internal customers and stakeholders, and carrying out negotiations with suppliers, you'll see to it that you lead the market.
To rise to the challenge, you'll need an impressive array of skills and experience. Ideally Degree or CIPS qualified, with a proven track record in purchasing with a decent spend, you will demonstrate highly developed business acumen and an extensive knowledgeof SAP and contract management. A skilled buyer with a flair for purchasing, you combine tried and tested project management / expertise with exceptional influencing and negotiating skills.
