**Junior Packaging Technologist**

MacGregor Black is currently partnering with a **Large Plc** business on the search for**Junior Packaging Technologist.**This is a permanent role based in**Hull.**

As the Junior Packaging Technologist, you will be responsible coordination, development and maintenance of group packaging data whilst developing a fundamental packaging industry knowledge. You will need to build relationships with all internal NPD and operationalfunctions across all sites along with those pertinent packaging suppliers. Be of a proactive nature to allow the assessment of current packaging formats and their efficiency within our production facilities, identifying optimal specifications for all materials/ substrates. Support the drive for innovation across the Group ensuring we are at the forefront of new packaging technology.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Being part of an artwork approval process where coordaining and maintaining packaging cutters library is the key priority. Artwork responsibilities will also include uploading cutters and packaging information to numerous retailer’s artwork platforms.
- Attending packaging factory trial and assisting operational and NPD teams.
- Gathering generic packaging specification throughout all sites.
- Organising and creating packaging mock-up samples.
- Ensure we are aligned to our Group Second Nature sustainability strategy for packaging and lead our both customers and suppliers on this journey.
- To actively seek solutions that meet environmental requirements.
- To create and build strong relationships with internal customers
- Representing the company in a professional manner
- Other duties may be required to support the success of the broader Procurement department and business overall.
- Able to enjoy working within a fast-moving environment with change and high expectations

**What are we looking for?**

- Good IT and organisation skills
- Good communicator (written and verbal)
- Team player
- Able to handle multiple tasks
- Self-motivated & passionate
- Clean full driving license for travel between sites and to customers
- Willingness to work outside the standard office hours and flexibility
