Outwood Academy Acklam, which was the first Outwood school in Teesside, has almost 1200 students on roll. At its latest inspection, it was judged to be a GOOD school with OUTSTANDING leadership. We are a diverse and vibrant 11-16 academy, based in the friendly, north-east town of Middlesbrough.
We are a welcoming and supportive academy, with a relentless determination to provide the very best education for every child. We place students at the centre of everything we do, with a focus on creating a culture of success and a positive climate for learning. In a beautiful setting, enjoy the state-of-the-art facilities that the academy has to offer.
The role of Teaching Assistant across our Academy is to promote the learning and welfare of students by providing practical and learning support to students, including those with statements of special educational needs, under the direction of the class teacher. The Academy has a Higher Needs Base, providing additional support for students with moderate learning difficulties and/or those on the Autistic Spectrum (ASD). This teaching assistant role is an opportunity to work directly with these students and therefore a passion for supporting students who experience barriers to learning is essential. You will work in close collaboration with our Inclusion Team to deliver a curriculum that truly supports students.
We are looking for an individual who has high aspirations for students, who is committed, and passionate about learning; who has the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our single goal of ‘Students First’.
The role of Teaching Assistant across our Academy is to promote the learning and welfare of students by providing practical and learning support to students, including those with statements of special educational needs, under the direction of the class teacher.
Outwood Grange Academies Trust provides a high-quality learning and cultural environment that inspires and motivates children. Whether you are ambitious for progression, or determined to be an outstanding member of our support team, Outwood Academy Acklam is the place for you..
