Class People are working with a fantastic and well established SEN school in Frome who are looking for a Teaching Assistant with experience of SEN to work with students ranging from Reception to Post 16. Many of the students have intellectual disabilities,or have profound or severe disabilities.

This specialist SEN school in the delightful area of Frome caters to around 80 students with severe and complex learning needs. All students have an EHCP and each child's needs are carefully evaluated to ensure equal access to education. They believe thatall students should enjoy their education and have fun while they learn.

A committed and safe environment, in which you are supported through whatever you are doing is a certainty while at this setting. You will be joining a team of Teachers and Teaching Assistant equally committed to ensuring the continued engagements of studentsin their learning.

You don’t need to be qualified to be successful in an SEN TA role - oftentimes having some experience relevant to working with children is enough of a qualification to work as a Teaching Assistant. You may have been a Carer, Playgroup worker, Nursery Practitioner,Babysitter, Volunteer etc.

**The right person for this role will**
- Have experience working with students, ideally in an SEN setting
- Have supported children in a caring environment
- Be able to sensitively and positively deal with challenging behaviour putting the needs of the student above all else
- Be able to display excellent interpersonal communication skills
