**The Tournament**

Contested every four years, the UEFA European Championship has been showcasing the continent’s top talent since its inception in 1960 and is the world’s third largest sporting event.

UEFA EURO 2028 is taking place across the UK & Ireland where Europe's top 24 national teams will compete in a 31-day, 51 match tournament, attended by over 3 million spectators and with a global tv audience of upwards of 2 billion people.

**The Organisation**
UK & Ireland 2028 Limited has been set up as a new company to locally deliver several UEFA requirements for the tournament, working closely with UEFA, 9 Host Stadiums, 8 Host Cities and other key stakeholders.

**The Role**
The Head of Stadium Liaison is responsible for leading on agreed areas of planning and delivery outlined in the Key Accountability section below for all UK&I 2028 stadiums in line with the UEFA EURO 2028 Tournament Requirements whilst ensuring that they are implemented both operationally and cost effectively for the tournament. You will be the primary point of contact for all agreed areas of planning and delivery for the UEFA Venue Operations Central Planning team, UK&I 2028, and all associated local stakeholders. Managing the delivery of all agreed stadium planning and delivery including leading stadium working groups for dissemination of information to all involved stakeholders, you will lead and manage a dedicated UK&I Stadium Liaison delivery team appointed by UK&I 2028 and/or via UEFA’s delegated services. You will also support UEFA’s Venue Operations Central Planning Team across all UEFA-led Stadium planning, in line with Tournament Requirements.

**What will you be doing?**
- Establish and maintain the relationship between UEFA, UK&I 2028, club and stadium (ensuring these relationships are maintained positively beyond the Tournament)
- To be the central point of contact for UEFA in order to deliver an efficient and coordinated approach to enable the smooth delivery of the stadium in line with the Tournament Requirements
- Establishing and maintaining the relationship between local stakeholders including police, mobility partners, city authorities and host city leads
- To lead the following UK&I key areas of stadium planning and delivery:

- In conjunction with other key parties, design, procure and operationally deliver the stadium outer security perimeters
- Lead the contracting of all external (non-stadium owned) land and building hire to support the tournament requirements
- Management of UK&I Government Partners funding contributions, including temporary overlay, the provision of land rental agreements and outer security perimeters
- Provide experience and associated qualifications relating to the stadium operation, local legislation and working practices
- Stakeholder integration and escalation across operational planning, supporting both UEFA Venue Operations Central Planning team and the stadium teams
- Contribute to the central UK&I planning and implementation of the stadium last KM & zone ex operations by integrating and aligning all internal & external stakeholders including police, mobility partners, local authorities and host city leads, with the wider stadium operation and in line with EURO requirements
- Work with UEFA Venue Operations Central Planning in respect of tadium Agreement contract management, including budget management within the agreed Stadium Fee
- Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet the changing priorities.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.

**Essential skills and experience**
- Self-starting senior venue/project manager capable of establishing and managing an event delivery team
- Problem-solver - ability to use own initiative and find new solutions and working methods to enable the smooth event delivery
- Excellent communicator capable of both establishing and building working groups including wide ranging and diverse stakeholders
- Strong negotiator capable of driving cost effective overlay solutions
- Highly motivated and passionate with experience of managing sporting events
- Extensive knowledge of large-scale stadia and working alongside associated delivery stakeholders
- Experience of working on UEFA events
- Experience managing the planning & delivery multiple sites
- Strong leadership skills and management of both long term and short-term employees
- Flexible approach to working hours
- A knowledge and understanding of ‘bid’ events
- Level 4 NVQ in Spectator Safety Management
- IOSH / NEBOSH qualification

**Where is the role based?**
Our head office is based at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London, however depending on your role you may be required to travel across the UK and Ireland to our 9 Stadiums and 8 Host Cities, with some roles being based in those locations.
