**Your Role as Head of Procurement**:

- The Head of Procurement will be an integral part of the senior management team reporting to the Managing Director.
- The Head of Procurement will be responsible for the ongoing management of the purchasing strategy / activity to ensure optimal supplier performance and Inventory management.
- Develop and implement a strategy to ensure the function is operating in line with the Company objectives to add value, mitigate supply chain risk and deliver cost savings.
- Be a strategic partner in enabling us to achieve Company operations requirements through successful sourcing, negotiating and buying of goods, materials and services.
- Develop and maintain strategic supplier relations and manage the development of contracts, contractual relations, and contract management.
- Evaluate the challenges faced by the Company, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities.
- Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer supplier power.
- Lead and manage a team, to deliver the appropriate support to the Company ensuring objectives are being met.
- Mentor and develop direct reports.

**Your Profile as Head of Procurement**:

- Demonstrable experience of leading a purchasing function with a proven track record in strategic purchasing leadership delivering effective purchasing strategies, policies, processes, and systems.
- Experience in international sourcing preferable within the manufacturing sector.
- Proven experience of Inventory management.
- Experience of operating and influencing at a strategic level.
- Experience of proven procurement processes and tools.
- Proven contract management and supplier experience.
- Proven ability to produce work under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated practical approach to problem solving - Able to manage conflicting priorities.
- Degree level or equivalent, CIPS Level 6 Professional Diploma (preferred)
