Are you an experienced **Accounts and Payroll professional** with a solid background in **community healthcare** and strong **invoicing expertise**? UK Phoenix Healthcare are looking for a reliable and detail-focused individual to join our team and help ensure the smooth financial running of our services supporting vulnerable individuals in the community.

**Role Overview**:
You’ll play a key part in managing payroll, invoicing, and core financial processes for our healthcare operations. The role requires an understanding of community healthcare finance, including local authority and NHS invoicing, payroll accuracy, and compliance with all relevant financial regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage end-to-end payroll processes for healthcare staff, ensuring timely and accurate payments as well as follow up process including queries.
- Prepare, issue, and track invoices, including those for local authority contracts, direct payments, and private clients.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments, ensuring cash flow is maintained.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, and reconcile supplier and client accounts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in line with audit and compliance standards.
- Assist with monthly management accounts and year-end financial processes.
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders such as HMRC, pension providers, local authorities, and commissioners.

**Essential Skills and Experience**:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an **accounts and payroll role within a community healthcare setting** (e.g., domiciliary care, supported living, community healthcare).
- **Strong invoicing skills**, including experience preparing invoices for local authorities, NHS bodies, and private clients.
- Proficiency in accounting and payroll software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks).
- Understanding of PAYE, NI, pension contributions, and statutory deductions.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and time management skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare-specific financial compliance and reporting requirements.
- AAT qualified or equivalent (or working towards).
