We are looking for someone to join our busy Accounts Department based in Tamworth. The role would suit someone looking for the opportunity work in in busy, friendly office with the chance to grow their career within the packaging industry sector. Our businesshas gone from strength to strength over the last 15 years of operation. Reporting into the Commercial Director, your responsibilities will include:

- Processing payments, invoices and receipts and entering data then filing hard & electronic copies
- Sales & Purchase ledger
- Bank reconciliation
- Preparation and payments to HMRC (VAT, Corporation Tax etc)
- Preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure
- Preparation of monthly Management Accounts
- Preparing records to Trial Balance at year end and providing any information/assistance to the Commercial Director when preparing year end accounts
- Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
- Verifying the accuracy of business accounts and alerting the Accountant of errors
- Recording any inconsistencies to help the Accountants reconcile inaccuracies
- Managing employee expense claims
- Helping the Commercial Director with administrative duties and preparing yearly accounts. Accountant will also support the individual
- Any other administrative duties that are required to support the business
- Day to day general book keeping to ensure the smooth running of the Business

Contract length: Permanent

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- AAT qualified or equivalent
- Bookkeeping: 3+ years (essential)
- Good IT skills and the ability to manage data
- Experience of Zero Accounts Software would be beneficial but not essential
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Excellent Communication skills
- Organised and flexible approach required with ability to plan and prioritise work demands
