**Manufacturing & Production Manager**
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to take ownership of the full manufacturing and production areas of an early stage and fast growing business. This will include it's ongoing operational performance of it's current site which it is currently outgrowingand then helping to source a new nearby site all of which are near to Glasgow.
**The role**:
You will be instrumental in the planning, set up and implementation of the long-term strategic operations in Glasgow and as the business grows with it's ambitious plans. You will have a wealth of experience in manufacturing & engineering.
You will be reporting to the Managing Director and have managerial and P&L responsibility for defining and improving operational standard of the current site and also the planning, design, set up and implementation of a new facility in the very near future.
**About you**:

- 10+ years’ experience in Manufacturing and Engineering management
- Qualified in Lean Manufacturing processes
- Financially and commercially astute, able to budget and take P&L responsibility
- A natural leader who can engage with stakeholders both internal and external, while building and leading a high performing team

**Responsibilities**:
Oversee & improve existing in-house and outsourced operations
- Responsibility for all outsourced manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics
- Drive service improvement utilising KPIs such as on-time manufacturing, delivery, manufacturing efficiency while reducing costs and errors

**Planning of New Facility**:

- Create business plan for new manufacturing and logistics facility, incorporating our Net Zero commitments
- Working with the MD and FD to create a detailed and evolving Financial and operational plan that falls within planned budget
- Research and source all required stuff including, building, machinery, handling equipment
- Recruitment and training of new team
- Develop processes for production and, warehousing and fulfilment
- Build the external and internal relationships required to make the product a success and deliver on time

**Management of current and new Manufacturing & Production facility**:

- Oversee the transition of the outsourcing of functions to insourcing and phase-in
- Day to day Operational management responsibility for all areas of the new facility
- Maximising Output - Measure and improve to ensure production targets meet pre-defined expectation
- Full P&L and budget responsibility for the business unit
- Plan production schedules, liaise with internal stake holders (Sales, Customer Service) to optimise manufacturing schedules
- Planning - using software and IT solutions to ensure efficient machine planning and optimal scheduling based upon demands from
- Manage and oversee the control of all day-to-day Manufacturing and Production outputs; such as allocation of work, cost and control of labour, Quality Control, Stock levels in relation to usage and purchases, Goods In/Out, Adherence to all Health and Safetypolicies and procedures, implementing policy where key issues require new or updated details or legislation dictates compliance and change
