We have an exciting opportunity for a **HR Advisor **to join our team based in **London**. You will join us on a **full time, permanent** **basis** and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of **£41,796 per annum (NJC Scale 32-34**) inc LW + pension and other benefits.**

**Hours**:35 hours per week excluding breaks

**About the role**:
The HR Advisor will provide a business partnering approach to the delivery of HR objectives, with a pro-active attitude and will be involved in a number of organisation wide projects, working closely with Head of People Services, the People Services team members, managers and staff across the organisation.

We're looking for an experienced HR Advisor with great relationship building skills, you will independently give consistent and robust advice to managers on employee relations, in line with legislation, internal policies and best practices, escalating cases when appropriate.

The HR Advisor will also contribute to advising on other people related matters such as payroll, recruitment, production of data and information.

Appropriate background checks will be carried out as part of the recruitment process for this role

**Key responsibilities of our HR Advisor** **will include**:

- Providing high quality HR advice and guidance to staff and managers to facilitate the early resolution of employee relations issues and to resolve them constructively (performance management, disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence management, formal consultations), ensuring that the risks associated with such cases are effectively managed, including participation in the formal meetings and appeals, escalating more complex issues to the Head of People Services as necessary
- Actively contribute to the review and implementation of new policies, procedures and practices and review in line with legislation and best practices and support equality, diversity and inclusion
- Providing internal HR management training for role managers
- Supporting line managers to ensure supervisions, probation plans and annual appraisals are carried out with consistency and working with managers and L&D Manager to facilitate resulting professional development
- Supporting the Head of People Services on the implementation of employee engagement initiatives including employee surveys and forums to facilitate continued improvement, motivation and performance
- Significant experience in employee relations and performance management
- Experience developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
- Experience in working in an HR office environment
- Excellent understanding of the employment policies and processes, employment legislation and best practices
- Experience of developing and delivering training for staff and managers
- Experience of setting up and implementing effective databases or information management systems, and reporting
- Strong interpersonal skills, and confident and flexible to deal with colleagues from a wide range of backgrounds and departments, and exercise effective interpersonal skills
