**About The Role**:
Location: Birmingham, B26

Hours of Work: 4 days on, 4 days off - 11 hour shifts

Rate of pay: £11.40 per hour

**Role Purpose**

To deliver in the manual segregation of waste into allocated waste streams and affectively process in preparation for transferring to third parties in agreed containment. To ensure that the Mobile Segregation Unit (MSU) always runs in a safe and compliant manner as articulated within the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manual at all times.

**Responsibilities**
- Sustain recycling rates at the approved level
- Conduct the segregation of waste into its recyclable streams in line with the SOP manual and training received
- Use the technology system for all input / output data entries for all waste streams
- Clean, compact and store all reusable / recyclable / non-recyclable waste streams in the appropriate areas as per the site layout
- Safety of yourself and work colleagues
- Responsible for maintaining high levels of Health & Safety in the workplace
- Maintain good communication with site management
- Work efficiently by yourself, as well as part of a team
- Ensuring effective hand over between shifts and the sharing of all relevant information
- Operational reporting at the end of each shift
- Maintain a clean working environment
- Completion of mandatory safety and security inspections, as directed
- Good time management
- Support the effective rotation of bins ensuring availability of required bins
- Holding tank management ensuring that it is used effectively to manage the flow of waste
- Work diligently to achieve outstanding service quality
- Escalation of any near misses, incidents or accidents to the Supervisor / Management team
- Represent Bidvest Noonan in a professional manner
