My Solution Wellbeing Edinburgh are looking for a part time **couples and adult counsellor/psychotherapist.**

We would love you to join our team and be part of one of the fastest growing private counselling services in the UK. We would like you to be innovative and dynamic in your approach and bring your personality to our team.

We are looking for a part time, self-employed counsellor, flexible to work on the weekends as well as in the week. We are looking for someone to work with **adults** and **couples**. There might be times you will be asked to work with families should you wish to do this.

We welcome bi-lingual applicants due to the diversity of our clients.

You will be working with private clients from diverse backgrounds and age groups.

You must be able to to maintain confidentiality and boundaries and be professional at all times. In your sessions we would like you to provide a professional, safe space for your clients, to enable them to explore challenges and difficulties with trust and respect in a non-judgemental, empowering environment.

You will have experience in counselling and will have a track record of managing your caseload.

You must be willing to work in accordance with the COSCA/BACP/BPS ethical and standard guidelines.
- Accreditation
- Excellent listening skills.
- Confident and assertive in their approach to therapeutic counselling.
- Excellent communication skills and understanding of complex difficulties.
- Up to date knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
- Experience of multi-agency partnership working but not essential.
- Knowledge of other modalities of therapy.
- Counsellors will be responsible for conducting Initial Assessments with both adults and couples, liaising as needed with other agencies involved in the client’s care to create a safe care package for every client where necessary.
- Salary - From £30 a session

**Job Type**: Permanent

Pay: From £30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
- Weekends only

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Edinburgh: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
