The property solicitor will be tasked with providing assistance in relation to a broad range of land and property transactions in England and Wales. A large part of the role involves the individual working on agreements associated with securing mineral reservesfor the company but, the individual is also expected to be involved with negotiating and concluding landfill agreements, planning agreements, lease arrangements, sales and purchases, development and other related property transactions.
To work on and deal with a wide range of commercial property transactions of all types required by the company, in particular, acquisitions and disposals of freehold land (including mines and mineral interests), options for mineral leases, commercial propertyleases in respect of concrete plant sites, industrial units and offices (as landlord and as tenant) to maximise income and minimise unnecessary expenditure on outsourcing matters to external solicitors.
Supervising (with others) the work of the Paralegal and Legal Secretary to support day to day functions.
Maintaining and updating a precedent bank of standard property documents (sale contracts, transfers, options, leases) and providing training to the business as and when required.
Advice and assistance to the business (at all levels) on matters relating to property law generally, including contentious issues and being involved with real estate disputes (although not dealing with claims directly as these will be handled by externalsolicitors appointed by the UK Legal Team).
You will be a qualified solicitor in England and Wales, with a minimum of 2 years PQE from within the commercial property sector.
