Our Durham based client is looking to recruit 2 Assistant Management Accountants contracts on a hybrid working basis into their Management Accounts team.

This role will provide budgetary control and support for designated budget managers and will produce financial information and insight to support business decisions.

The Assistant Management Accountant sits within a well known, Durham based organisation.

**Description**

The duties of the Durham based Assistant Management Accountant are;
- To provide a management accounting service for designated areas of the business
- To conduct monthly budgetary monitoring, review and reporting as well as to identifying and understand trends, issues and variations from forecasts.
- to lead the annual budget process for designated areas, ensuring full engagement with budget managers and that reasonable budgets are set supported by robust, comprehensive assumptions.
- To maintain up to date forecasts, supporting proactive decisions and providing a basis for future budgets
- To be the primary contact for all financial queries and advice for designated managers

**Profile**

The successful Durham based Assistant Management Accountant will;
- Be a Part Qualified or Qualified by Experience Accountant
- Have a strong background in a financial environment including the ability analyse and interpret financial information to resolve problems, deliver outputs and communicate information for decision-making
- Be proficient in a finance software packages (ideally Oracle) as well as have good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel including;
- The ability to interrogate data warehouses to extract relevant data and to analyse, interpret and report on outputs.
- Understand budgetary control process and able to analyse information and provide insight to users.
