**Job Title**:Payroll Administrator

**Location**:Head Office, Carlisle

**Salary**: £24,000 - £26,000 per annum (DoE)

An exciting opportunity for a Payroll Administrator has become available at our Head Office in Carlisle. This is a key role to support the Group Payroll Manager with all aspects of providing an effective payroll function for the Group.

Key duties of the role include:

- Maintain accurate payroll information through collecting, calculating, validating, interpreting and entering data
- Keep payroll records updated effectively - including exemptions, contracts, pensions, deductions, new starters and terminations
- Complete payroll reconciliations
- High volume data processing
- Create and prepare reports for the business/management teams including interpreting data and making summaries and/or recommendations based on the outputs (e.g. absence reporting)
- Build great relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the business

**What you need**:

- Payroll experience - ideally in a high-volume payroll department
- Experience of using Financial software
- Knowledge and understanding of legislation that impacts payroll

- A keen eye for detail with an analytical and methodical approach to your work, you love solving problems and taking ownership through to resolution
