We are recruiting a Payroll Administrator for an expanding and high-performing Payroll team based in Carlisle. Whether you’re seeking a full-time opportunity or prefer part-time hours (min. 22 hours per week), this could be the next great step in your payroll career

**About the Role**

As **Payroll Administrator,** you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the payroll for multiple employees is processed efficiently, accurately, and on time. You’ll support monthly payroll activities, liaise with team leaders, handle queries, and help maintain compliance with internal controls and third-party requirements.

You’ll also have the chance to contribute to improving payroll processes - perfect for someone who is passionate and about things payroll and enjoys making things more efficient and effective.

**What We Are Looking For**

Previous experience in a payroll processing role (essential)

Strong attention to detail/ability to meet tight deadlines

Knowledge of Excel and inhouse payroll software (training can be provided)

A proactive and adaptable approach to work in a fast-paced environment

A relevant payroll qualification would be desirable, but not essential ( professional training and support can be provided for a qualification)

**Key Responsibilities**

Processing payroll inputs for multiple employees on a monthly basis

Managing payroll starters, leavers, amendments

Dealing with payroll queries from employees

Assisting with month-end processes and third-party payments
