**Exciting Opportunity: Payroll and Benefits Team Lead**

**Location**: Wakefield

I’m currently partnering with a dynamic company that is looking for an experienced Payroll and Benefits Team Lead to join their HR team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in payroll and benefits who is eager to lead a dedicated team and make a significant impact across the UK.

**About the Role**:
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of the company’s HR function, taking the lead on all things payroll and benefits. You’ll manage a small but highly capable team based in Wakefield, overseeing payroll operations for the UK and Ireland. This position offers a unique blend of operational responsibility and strategic oversight, making it perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the challenge of scaling processes to support rapid growth.

**What You’ll Be Doing**:

- **Team Leadership**: You’ll manage a small team responsible for delivering payroll services to over 1,000 employees across the UK and Ireland. Your leadership will ensure that the team operates smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with all legal requirements.
- **Benefits Management**: Oversee the administration and renewal of employee benefits, including Group Life Assurance, Group Income Protection, and more. You’ll ensure that these processes run like clockwork, providing top-notch service to employees.
- **Compliance & Reporting**: Lead the charge on annual reporting duties such as P11d’s, PSA, and Gender Pay Gap analysis, ensuring that all reporting is accurate and timely.
- **Problem Solving**: Act as the go-to person for resolving complex payroll and benefits queries, using your expertise to find solutions and support your team in doing the same.
- **Continuous Improvement**: You’ll be constantly looking for ways to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure that the payroll and benefits function is future-proofed for continued growth.
