Yard Operative
Pertemps are looking for a Forklift Driver / Yard Operative to work for a leading fencing supplier in Wokingham to provide excellent customer service in the yard through accurate picking & packing, demonstrating great product knowledge whilst always adheringto Health & Safety.
*MUST HAVE Counterbalance / Reach Truck Counterbalance licences*
Working Monday to Friday 07.30am to 5.00pm plus Alternate Saturdays 08.00am to 12noon
As a Forklift Driver / Yard Operative, you will be responsible for:
Accurate picking of products, checking quality and quantity prior to packing & loading and paperwork.
Safe & secure packing and loading of products on or into collecting vehicles, customer or supplier.
Unloading and checking of all received deliveries into yard from either customer or supplier. Efficient and safe storage of received deliveries into appropriate locations observing company policies and Health & Safety.
Correct reporting and management of any damaged or compromised products or materials.
Carry out any other reasonable task as requested by your line manager.
The successful Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative will possess the following:
A good problem solver, logically minded and good math skills
Good understanding of stock control principles
Must be happy to get stuck in, hands on and support to the rest of the Branch team.
Good numeracy and ability to read picking tickets/delivery notes with strong attention to detail.
Enjoy working in a yard environment
Certificates / Qualifications Required:
Counterbalance Forklift (Up to date certificate)
Reach Truck Forklift (Up to date certificate)
