We have a new opportunity to join our Legal team as an integral part of the in-house legal, risk and compliance team to provide high quality legal support including dispute resolution.
Ideally suited to a litigation lawyer with experience of working in the insurance industry and handling professional indemnity claims. This is a fantastic opportunity for a 2-5 year PQE lawyer who has qualified in private practice and are now looking to moveto an in-house role.
This is fantastic opportunity for an assured self-starter able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
**Role Responsibilities**:

- Assisting Senior Legal Counsel in the running of and administration of the litigation matters affecting the company (including running own case load)
- Advising the business on various legal queries.
- Advising on employment restrictive covenants for leaver and joiners.
- Keeping up to date on and advising the business and legal team on changes in law.
- Keeping legal policies and procedures up to date.
- Assist with preparing litigation reports to various committees and boards.
- Responsibility for producing internal communication publication for the business.
- Assisting members of the legal, risk and compliance team where necessary
- Monitoring the activity of Cloogle; the Lockton internal legal support too
- Relevant insurance and regulatory post qualification experience gained in private practice, preferably in the insurance broking sector.
- Experience dealing with Professional Indemnity claims.
- Insurance Law knowledge - Experience of the insurance industry/London Market would be highly desirable.
- Proven technical ability

- Excellent interpersonal skills and influential skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Strong drafting skills.
