**Here at Newstaff Employment Services we are looking for a permanent experienced Logistics Coordinator based in Hitchin.**

The company we are recruiting for are agrowing business located in Hitchin who are looking for a logistics coordinator to help support the logistics function of the business.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a small fast-growing business where you will quickly become a key member of staff.The culture is dynamic, hardworking, and friendly and you will be working closely with all departments. For this reason we are lookingfor an approachable individual to join the team. Within this role you will be reporting to the Logistics Manager.

WORKING HOURSà Monday to Friday 08:30 to 5:30 hours.

**Responsibilities include-**
- Deciding on most effective delivery method for all orders
- Booking and organising shipments
- Help develop and improve logistics processes
- Creating export documentation
- Be personable and comfortable on the phone communicating with all customers and suppliers
- Monitoring inbound shipments
- Booking transport for large orders on dedicated vehicles
- Scheduling container deliveries
- Routing deliveries for Luton box vans
- Utilising local courier deliveries when need additional capacity
- Communication effectively with Warehouse Manager to help organise picking schedule
- Maintaining excellent working relationships with suppliers and customers

**Specification**:

- Confident, well organised with fast paced administrative skills
- Strong IT skills including ideally Google sheets, Excel and Sage
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive and pro company approach to work
- Want to continuously learn, improve and grow with the company

- Starting salary between £25,000 to £32,000 (dependent on experience).
