Specialist Forensic Practitioner

2. There is a frequent requirement to sit at a desk/workstation using computer/office equipment in order to write reports, complete assessments, use Maracis 3. There is a frequent requirement to drive to and from appointments both locally and nationally. Mental Effort: e.g.

There is a frequent requirement to respond to referrals and requests for assessments in a tight timeframe 2. There is a frequent requirement to carry out assessments for often more than one hour and regular facilitation of multi-agency reviews.
3. There is frequent involvement in tribunal hearings with patients and responsibility for writing formal reports including Ministry of Justice reports. 4. There is a requirement to be available to the Police within the agreed 1 hour response time.
5. There is a regular requirement to manage time effectively as the work pattern is often unpredictable and there may be conflict in priorities. The timescales for responding to referrals are often determined by statute legislation. Emotional Effort: e.g.
level, duration and frequency of distressing and emotionally demanding situations, etc. 1. There is regular requirement to manage challenging behaviour and regularly manage contentious issues within the client and/or family groups. 2.
There is frequent need to manage and assist in the prevention of risk; specifically suicide, self-harm, self-neglect and violence, aggression and risk of harm to others. 3. A occasional part of the role is to support clients in crisis and assist with crisis de-escalation. 4.
**Working Conditions**: e.g. level, duration and frequency of working in and with unpleasant, hazardous, toxic, cramped, continuous similar, awkward, extreme weather and temperature conditions, etc. 1.The role requires frequent use of a vehicle to travel to and from appointments. 2.
There is occasional need to administer depot injections and occasional exposure to unhygienic environments which may be a product of the service users social circumstances or mental ill health. 3. There is occasional exposure to threats of violence and aggressive behaviour.
