**Senior Data Protection/Technology Solicitor (5+ years PQE)

Legal 500 Newcastle law firm based in Jesmond are lookingfor an experienced solicitor to join their leading TMT practice.
This role is for a solicitor specialising in technology with a particular focus on data protection and information law.
**Role Responsibility**:

- Drafting, negotiating, and advising on complex technology, licencing and outsourcing arrangements with a variety of third-parties.
- Advising on a full range of data privacy matters
- Assisting with business development activities in order to win new clients and to win data work from existing clients
- Assisting with data protection in a contractual/transactional context, IT contracts, services agreements, complex international transfers of data both intra-group and between third parties, data licensing, data sharing agreements and online terms

**Previous hands-on experience of advising on data protection projects is a requirement, including experience of advising on GDPR/UK GDPR, on international data transfers, drafting privacy notices, negotiating and drafting data processor agreements andadvising on marketing and e-privacy issues.**
