Our client are an Independent Worldwide Logistics Company, run by a dedicated team with an unrivalled knowledge of shipping in the Courier and Logistics Sector.

They are now looking to recruit a FREIGHT CUSTOMER SERVICE OPERATOR to join their friendly team. This is a truly exciting opportunity to work for a Company where you will be part of a team who are passionate about their brand and committed to deliveringexcellent service to all customers.

As a Freight Customer Service Operator you will be a key in delivering an exceptional standard of customer service to all their customers
You will work effectively to ensure the efficient running of the customer service department and the warehouses.

Duties & responsibilities of the role:

- Answering Telephone calls
- Taking customer bookings
- Accepting enquiries from customers or clients and responding with follow up queries if required.
- Responding to routine customer requests for quotations or information regarding products and services of our client
- Ensuring the systems are up to date with proof of deliveries within the International, Overnight and Same day divisions.
- Chasing agents for proof of deliveries if missing
- Identifying issues with shipments, and resolving said issues, reporting any issues to management
- Assisting with customer invoicing

Ideal Skills and knowledge:

- A minimum of one - two year/s of experience of working in a customer service role, liaising with customers face to face as well as over the phone specifically within the COURIER or FREIGHT sector.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Confident computer literacy skills, including, excel & word
- Outstanding organisational skills
- Understanding of national & international courier / freight services
- Strong time-management skills with a can-do attitude and hands-on approach
- Pro-active, flexible and committed
- A passion for customer service

This is a permanent full time position working Monday to Friday at their Headquarters in Frimley, Surrey

This is a permanent role based out of our clients headquarters in Frimley, Surrey. Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm
£20k - £25k basic salary
