**Summary Job Purpose**:
A Charity based organisation based near Baker Street are seeking a temporary Receptionist to start asap.
This is a charity organisation that provides youths with the opportunity to take part in activities and development programs that would not normally be open to them via school or home life.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Receptionist**
Provide a first-class reception facility by:
- receiving visitors by greeting, welcoming and directing them as appropriate
- receiving and being the gate keeper for incoming calls
- taking responsibility for the signing in and out of visitors and building users ensuring the same complies with Health and Safety
- keeping a safe and clean reception area at all times
- managing incoming and outgoing post, couriers and deliveries
- maintaining security and telecommunication systems
**Maintenance and Building**
- Undertake daily checks throughout the building ensuring the same is in an excellent working state as directed by the COO
- Report where necessary any faults to the COO
- Support the COO with the management of suppliers into the building
- Undertake weekly fire alarm testing and report any issues to the COO
- Work in partnership with the COO to order building consumables including Covid supplies, whilst keeping a monthly track of the same
**General Administration**
- Provide general admin tasks as requested by the COO and / or Director of Youth Services
- Manage ad-hoc building and office related projects as and when they arise from the COO and / or Director of Youth Services
**PERSON SPECIFICATION**:
- A minimum of 2 years Reception experience
- An interest in the charity / youth working sector
Excellent office skills (organisation, filing etc)
- Excellent IT skills (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet, web) - on PC (Word, Excel Outlook etc)
- Ability to grasp software and IT packages i.e. Artifax (Event Management Software), Sage, (Financial Software) and for general administration
- Well developed inter-personal skills with the ability to speak on the telephone or in person and meet their demands calmly and efficiently
