Safety Coordinator

The safety coordinator will be a key conduit between the central safety and risk department and all localities and departments in the organisation. The post-holder will work closely with the clinical quality, operational and corporate teams, and staff at all levels in the organisation.
The safety coordinator will administrate and maintain central governance and risk management systems, providing comprehensive reports and timely information to the safety and risk department as required.
The post will have a significant focus on the national Learning from Deaths programme and will be involved in setting up and maintaining the Trust's administrative system for this. Outside of the Learning from Deaths element, the post-holder will be involved in delivering the Trust's Safety Strategy, alongside investigating serious incidents and RIDDOR incidents.
Staff demonstrate compassion and respect whilst promoting patient dignity and respecting individual needs, patients are involved in their care and treatment, and staff act with the utmost professionalism and support patients and the public in the most trying of circumstances to provide positive outcomes.
