We’re partnering with an 'Outstanding’ Primary school in the Newton Aycliffe area, looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to start ASAP. The post is a full time position and you will be working within a year 3 class, supporting a large class of childrenwith another two Experienced Teaching assistants and a Teacher.

The school is a 2 form-entry school and you will be working with an experienced supportive Team. You will support the year 3 class and be involved in all aspects of support including taking small groups for Maths and Literacy interventions and provide any1-2-1 support when required.

The school is looking for a pro-active Teaching Assistant who can help support with building the children’s confidence and their learning and development.

**The post is full time, working 8.30am - 3.30 pm Monday to Friday.**

**Key Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant**:

- Working with groups of children or working with pupils on a 1-2-1 basis
- Supporting these pupils with the full Year 3 National Curriculum to all ranges
- Working with children who have additional SEND needs
- Supporting the class teacher across the whole class
- Uphold a strong classroom presence whilst motivating and inspiring all pupils

**Required Skills & Experience**:
You must have previous experience supporting KS1 or KS2 children.

If you have completed a CACHE qualification or have completed any volunteering Teaching Assistants posts, this may be a great opportunity

If you have supported children or young adults in a different setting e.g Private nurseries, involved in community/Youth Centre, social care or similar and have a passion for supporting children then this would be a great role for you to work in the schoolsetting
