We have an exciting opportunity for a Prosthetist to join our existing team in our South East England Branches The Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Prosthetist to provide and promote a high standard of Prosthetic care and treatment across a range of amputation levels. This position is for the Lead Clinician at our Colchester Branch three days per week with the other days working at the Billericay Branch. Part time and dual qualified options can also be considered, please get in touch to discuss. As a prosthetist you will be required to act in a professional manner at all times to other members of the team, the patients and their families. **Responsibilities**: - Assess, measure, cast, fit, deliver, supply, review and adjust prosthesis as required across a range of amputation levels, both upper and lower extremity. - Cast and rectify models in a timely fashion using both traditional methods and CADCAM where appropriate. - Manage the patient’s case, including patient expectation, ensuring the individual’s needs are respected and ensuring the patient is informed throughout the process with clear explanations of proposed interventions. - Manage stock and communication for the Colchester Branch - Maintain good knowledge of available components and understand their function. - Work within the parameters of accepted "best practice" at all times. To ensure that all aspects of practice conform to clinical governance at all times. - Act as a resource for clinical cover for annual leave, sickness, planned absences or emergency cover where appropriate. - Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the most appropriate and effective treatment for patients. - Identify, in conjunction with the Branch Manager and other Prosthetic Staff, service developments and/or improvements to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
