**BASE: Birstall**

We are looking to an appoint an inspirational and dedicated Head of School for Riverside Primary School which is situated in Birstall, Leicester. We are a growing Trust with nine secondary schools, a sixth form and five primary schools, as well as alternative provision centres. Our mission is to ensure that ANY young person deserves an EQUAL chance to be successful in whatever they choose to do and our 1500 employees work incredibly hard to ensure we serve our 12,000 students and their families and communities effectively.

This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and motivated experienced school leader to provide outstanding and effective day-to-day leadership with a clear focus on pupils, standards, outcomes, curriculum, holistic development, improvement training and development for all staff. The role will work closely with local Governors, the Deputy CEO and the Executive Principal and will be responsible for ensuring the educational success within the overall framework of the Lionheart Educational Trust as well as contributing to the strategic work of the Trust’s Executive Team.

You will need recent and relevant senior leadership experience (Deputy or Assistant Head level) along with successful teaching and curriculum experience. A strong and clear understanding of major curriculum issues and experience of innovative curriculum development and coordination are also required. Experience of working with others in the context of collaboration, support and challenge and the ability to embrace system leadership and the work of Lionheart Educational Trust is a key requirement too.
