An outstanding primary school in Leicester is seeking a dedicated and proactive Year 1 Teacher to join their team starting January 2025. We are looking for a Year 1 Teacher who can deliver engaging lessons, inspire students, and support each child's unique learning journey.

Responsibilities of the Year 1 Teacher:

  • As a Year 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for the pastoral care and academic progress of your class, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Teaching the Key Stage 1 curriculum to Year 1 pupils, focusing on meeting each child's learning goals, building on their strengths, and supporting areas for growth.
  • Developing foundational skills in literacy and numeracy through well-structured and engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of Year 1 students.
  • Promoting social and emotional development, fostering confidence, teamwork, and a love of learning in your Year 1 classroom.
  • Monitoring pupils' progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining open communication with parents regarding their child's development as a Year 1 Teacher.
