Harlow, United Kingdom Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Following on from a successful First Contact Practitioner (FCP) roll-out across West Essex and resulting additional DES funding, EPUT NHS Trust are expanding the FCP service within the Harlow South area of West Essex, in collaboration with our PCN colleagues.

Harlow North PCN cares for 59,000 patients and currently have a team of pharmacists and personalised care role staff. We are looking to expand our enthusiastic team with First Contact Practitioners to support our patients in their health and wellbeing.

We are aligning staff to 20,000 patient groups in order to support the development of our team members. This allows them to be attached to no more than 2 practices and become embedded in the practice teams.

We are seeking 3 passionate and enthusiastic musculoskeletal physiotherapists to join our team and be part of this FCP expansion across West Essex.

EPUT has an excellent reputation in supporting professional development and AHP’s. We currently have staff embarking on PhD studies, independent prescribing and injection therapy, as structured support and mentoring to complete the FCP Roadmap.

EPUT are proud of the Quality First Programme to support individual clinicians to scope and deliver quality initiatives to deliver ongoing improvement in patient care.

EPUT is a key system partner for the West Essex Integrated Care Partnership (ICP). The partnership includes Princess Alexandra NHS Trust, 2 GP Provider companies and West Essex Clinical Commissioning Group.

As a First Contact Practitioner you will be responsible for assessing musculoskeletal presentations direct from reception, requesting diagnostics as indicated and signposting.

This is a great time to join the West Essex MSK service at EPUT, with current NHS initiatives expanding the clinical role of Allied Health Professionals including Physical Therapists throughout healthcare within West Essex.

EPUT are looking for motivated staff who shares our Trust values of Care, Learn and Empower. In return, EPUT can offer you a range of benefits and development including;
- Season Ticket Loans
- NHS discounts for staff
