What ASEND Tuition Is

We are looking for inspirational tutors near Ruislip, Hillingdon to support children and young people with SEND. We support pupils that have struggled to stay in the classroom, who feel too anxious to go to school or whose needs aren’t sufficiently supportedat school. We tutor children face to face in a range of settings including homes, schools, and community centres. You may be an experienced tutor or teacher or have experience of working with children in a therapeutic way. One of your aims will be to supportand re-engage a pupil in their learning, continue their educational development and return to school. ASEND tuition is replacing school for these young people and is normally part-time, taking place during school hours, five days a week.
- have some experience with SEN; many of our students require someone with experience in working with people who have learning and communication delays, Autism, ADHD, or Emotional and Mental Health difficulties
- Have experience supporting young people with limited speech and language skills
- be passionate about helping pupils overcome any barriers to learning and difficulties with engagement
- be able to build a rapport and strong relationship with children and their families and with colleagues
- ideally, have some experience of helping children with their learning
- have the ability to motivate and inspire pupils
- use a person-centred approach in their work
- make the wellbeing, achievement, and progress of your pupils central to everything that they plan and do
- have the determination and energy to bring about continuous improvement in mental health and confidence.

Our Directors all have a unique understanding of SEND and between them share a wealth of knowledge and experience unparalleledin the field. Our team all have a passion for helping young people with SEN overcome barriers and progress.
