The company operates across the world with plants and commercial offices in the UK, USA, France, central Europe and Asia. Amongst its customers are the major alloy melters, aero-engine manufacturers and their high performance component suppliers from all corners of the globe.

Caledonian Alloys are now seeking to recruit a Logistics Coordinator to join the team and support the growth of the business here in Hereford.

**Role Summary**:
The Logistics Coordinator, UK/ ROW - AFCO works closely with the Commercial and Operations teams to move material from the UK & ROW in a timely and cost-effective manner while ensuring all paperwork is completed to the highest standard and records retained.

**Essential Functions**:

- Adheres to plant and department safety rules, safely operates all equipment and tools, identifies and reports safety problems, corrects when possible.
- Maintain clean and safe work area.
- Arranging import/export sea freight with freight forwarders.
- Arranging UK/European road freight.
- Tracking all freight movements to maintain on time delivery schedules.
- Working alongside commercial and operations departments to ensure on time dispatch and delivery.
- Assisting FCO with all Compliance related tasks.
- Ensuring all relevant import/export documentation is received/issued and recorded.
- Producing freight cost forecasts.
- Monthly freight re-charge invoicing administration.
- Maintain Dispatch/Receiving plans.
- Attending weekly dispatch/receive calls to address any potential issues.
- Working with accounts payable to ensure freight invoices are correct.
- Assisting with onsite inventory reconciliation.
- Assisting other departments as required.
- Performing duties according to the PCC Code of Conduct and in compliance with Sox guidelines.
- Performs other miscellaneous functions as assigned by the Supply Chain Director.

**Education & Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a freight/supply chain environment is preferred.
- Export Compliance Training.

**Competencies**:

- Knowledge of import and export regulations, domestic transportation modes and pricing methodology.
- High level of self-motivation to perform and succeed.
- Ability to work under moderate supervision and use own initiative.
- Strong interpersonal skills at all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise work effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure and deadlines.
- Able to work outside normal office hours as business requires.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet business demands.
- Performs all aspects of the position according to the PCC Code of Conduct and SOX guidelines.

**Additional Notes**:

**Work Environment**:
Works predominately in an office environment with mínimal safety/health hazard potential. Occasionally required to perform job duties outside of the office setting with exposure to climate changes, traffic, uneven surfaces, heights, and noise.
