**Working Hours**: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
**Salary**: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

**Tomato Energy** is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented **Compliance Assistant** to join our Legal Department. This hybrid role offers flexibility, with time split between our Basingstoke office and working remotely. You’ll work closely with our Compliance Manager to support the implementation and monitoring of policies with a strong focus on **GDPR regulations**.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance policies related to **GDPR** and data protection.
- Support data collection and analysis for compliance reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GDPR requirements.
- Maintain compliance documentation, including policies and training materials.
- Conduct research on regulatory updates and data protection best practices.
- Participate in compliance audits and assessments, preparing relevant reports.
- Collaborate with departments to ensure effective integration of compliance policies.
- Assist in delivering staff training sessions on GDPR and general compliance policies.
- Respond to team inquiries on compliance and GDPR-related issues.

**Qualifications**:

- **Bachelor’s degree** in law, business, data management, or a related field (preferred).
- **6 months to 1 year of experience** in a compliance role, with a focus on GDPR and policy implementation.
- Strong understanding of **GDPR regulations** and data protection principles.
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in compliance software and data management tools.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
