Senior Data Officer - GTS

Digitalization and data are high on Aegon's agenda. For our rapidly changing organization, we are looking for a Senior Data Officer for Global Technology Services (GTS) who will help develop and implement data management and governance across the business unit to ensure we have robust processes to allow us to maximise the value of our data. You will become a trusted business partner on all data related topics.

This is what you do as a Senior Data Officer

The Senior Data Officer will work with the Leadership team and Senior Managers in GTS departments to put in place effective and efficient data management and data governance processes. They will also support the implementation of global frameworks and policies as part of the wider Group Data Office.
- Work with the CDO and key stakeholders to drive the definition and implementation of the GTS data management strategy, roadmap and policies supporting each of the domains
- Implement and run an effective and efficient data governance model working with data owners, stewards, and users in GTS to create clarity about their data responsibilities
- Define and implement data controls in collaboration with GTS’s data owners
- Work with IT to help define GTS’s data architecture and solutions for data management
- Manage key relationships in GTS domains
- Liaise with analytics teams embedded in GTS and create a collaborative data roadmap
- Work with other data related functions, privacy, security, and IT to help drive the strategic use, control, and management of data, aligning with them on standards, tooling, and approaches
- Implement standards working as part of the Group Data Office
- Support the implementation of group wide policies, standards, and controls for data management

Who will be your new colleagues?

This role is part of the Group Data Office. This is a small team that:

- Is responsible for setting group wide data management policies and standards
- Advises and collaborates with the Chief Data Officers (CDO) and their teams across Aegon globally
- Provides a shared service on data tooling
- Data management for aggregated group data and Corporate Centre & GTS

- A degree in Information Management, Data & Analytics, Organization Studies, Computer Science, Econometrics, Business Economics / Engineering or related study
- Relevant data management certifications (e.g. Certified Data Management Professional) or willing to obtain them in the short term
- Experience in data management in a complex organization in terms of entities and IT.
- Demonstrable experience in working in a large and complex organization.
- Knowledge of and practical and implementation experience with data management industry standards such as DAMA DMBOK
- Affinity with and / or experience in Enterprise Architecture: being able to approach and oversee problems, solutions and impact integrally and holistically (data, process, organization and technology)
- Connecting personality, depth and focused on cooperation

- You are a team player with a sense of humor
- You look for challenges and are constantly improvement-oriented
- A good knowledge of GTS and/or the wider Aegon organization
