**Role Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs
- Develop positive and trusting relationships with students, encouraging their growth and resilience
- Assist with differentiated learning activities to meet students' individual needs and learning styles
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to implement tailored education plans and behaviour management strategies
- Foster a safe, positive learning environment that respects each student’s well-being and learning pace
- Encourage positive social interactions and help students develop coping and interpersonal skills
- Support students with daily routines and engagement in school life

**About You**
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly with SEMH needs
- Strong communication skills, patience, and an empathetic approach
- Ability to stay calm in challenging situations and offer constructive solutions
- Familiarity with SEND education practices and safeguarding procedures
- A commitment to continuous professional development and teamwork

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Relevant experience in SEND or SEMH settings required
- NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent, desirable but not essential
- Additional training in de-escalation techniques or behaviour management is a plus
