As a valued member of our ambitious team, you’ll be our Direct Payment/Self Directed Support Strategic Lead.

You’ll review and develop our approach to Self-Directed Support and Direct Payments, to make sure people are supported to live the life they choose to lead.

You’ll work closely with Doncaster people with lived experience of seeking and drawing on support, and senior officers both internally and externally, to help shape the future of both the service and of wider community support, tangibly benefitting the lives of local people.

You’ll have knowledge and lived experience of Direct Payments or Self-Directed Support, which could include current or previous personal experience or experience from a family member, partner or friend who might otherwise struggle to manage without your help

You will understand and role model the behaviours to lead in a complex system and be willing to work across organisational boundaries. In doing so you’ll support the Adults, Wellbeing and Culture directorate to make best use of our resources and support high quality care and support in Doncaster.
