**We have a unique opportunity at JohnJasper care with a local client based in the Whitley Bay area living with cerebral palsy. We are looking for Team Leader to work within 2:1 support rota over 7 days (days and nights with waking night and sleep in shift £80). You will be part of their specialist team to patiently and proactively support them through their life journey, you must have a level 3 and experience of supervising staff**

**Rate are £14-15ph, £80 per sleep and bank holiday increments, monthly pay**

**Duties**:

- Provide outstanding support and assistance to individuals with disabilities or additional needs
- Completing records in line with company policies and overseeing staff team records
- Liaising with family and professionals regarding on-going support management.
- On-going training and personal development
- Supporting full participation in community activities and social events
- Support individuals in developing and maintaining independent living skills
- Monitor and report any changes in behaviour or health status to appropriate personnel
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for individuals
- Manage rotas and on-going training, support needs for staff.

- Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills
- Empathy and compassion for individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Patience and understanding in dealing with challenging behaviors
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle crisis situations calmly
- Good computer skills for documentation purposes
- Willngness to develop personal learning and development through various

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Right to live and work in the UK.
- UK Driving licence is essential
- Sociable and enjoy supporting clients with additional needs
- Team player
- Values led and committed to providing excellent care.
- Referee contact details covering the past five years of employment or suitable character reference for gaps of employment.

**JohnJasper Care** is a family owned home care agency who have many years’ experience working in the health and social care sector. We are based in Newcastle upon Tyne and cover the wider North East areas. We currently provide homecare for North Tyneside & Northumberland Local Authority and have on-going contracts that require staff.

Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
