We have a rare opportunity to join our Paint Line team as a Production Operative - Material Handler.

As Production Operative / Material Handler you’ll enjoy being a critical part of the team and work flexibly across a variety of production activities with the primary focus of supplying the paint line the necessary materials required to complete the Production schedule.

**What does it involve?**

As Production Operative / Material Handler you’ll ‘roll your sleeves up and get stuck in’ wherever you’re needed carrying out a variety of different tasks including:
Check and prepare materials in accordance with the days schedule, reporting any errors or discrepancies.

Ensure that the Forklift Trucks are checked daily and in good operative order.

Organise and locate paint line WIP material into designated locations dependant on process requirements.

Perform the necessary quality checks on material being picked for the paint line.

Provide cover on the paint line & packing lines as and when required, carrying out routine quality checks;
Responsible for the good housekeeping of your work areas

**Requirements**:
**What will you need to know**

As Production Operative / Material Handler you’ll be working on vertical paint line (and there aren’t many of those around) so we’ll make sure you’ll receive all the necessary training to be successful in your role. Experience of working as a Production Operative is a bonus but, as a minimum we’re looking for you to demonstrate your:
Ability to follow standard operation instructions.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail. - you’ll need to match drawings to extrude profiles.

Ability to build, maintain effective working partnerships with colleagues - we’re a team and better when we work together

Self‐motivated proactive approach to work that is able to demonstrate initiative

**Other information**:
This role does involves physical movement including lifting, bending, twisting and carrying with loads of up to 20kg as a core part of the role.

**Role details**

40 hours per week rotating shift - 06.00 - 14.00/14.00 - 22.00

Salary - 22,357 (10.75 per hour) to 23,357 (11.23 per hour) depending on experience
