Architen Landrell Manufacturing is a rapidly expanding business, who are the proud designer & manufacturer of Tensile Membrane Buildings in the UK, Europe and across the World.

Due to recent Contract wins and an additional Production line, we are seeking a new Production Operative to work in our factory, which is based next to the train station in Chepstow.

We have several HF welding machines as well as other fabric welders and equipment which we use in the tensile fabrication industry. As a Production Operative, you will join our friendly factory team of approx. 10 people, your typical hours are 7am start to 4pm with daily overtime expected and available daily.

These roles most suit candidates who are good with their hands and have a mechanical understanding of how things go together, but also are able to work from technical drawings and use own initiative to solve problems. The products we make are bespoke, and we can assure you that no 2 days are ever the same.

Pay rates depend on experience, however an entry level Production Operative will get full training on Keder production, HF Welding, CNC cutting, Fabric grinding, PTFE welding over the first year of employment, and opportunities to develop within an expanding business.

Qualifications

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent (Maths and English)
  • Proven experience in assembly and production processes
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to operate hand and power tools
  • Familiarity with welding and grinding techniques
  • Previous manufacturing / warehouse experience is preferred but not essential
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Assemble components using HF and other fabric welding equipment, ensuring precision and quality in every task.
  • Perform CNC cutting, fabric grinding, fabrication production operations as required, adhering to safety standards.
  • Utilise previous technical and mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, contributing to overall factory production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.60-£13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
