**Position Overview**:
The Business Compliance Officer ensures that the company adheres to legal standards and in-house policies. This role is essential in enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of business as well as providing guidance on compliance matters.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Health & Safety (H&S) Management**:

- Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with legal standards.
- Organise H&S training sessions for staff.
- Monitor and report on H&S performance and address any issues promptly.

**Documentation and Reporting**:

- Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory bodies.
- Maintain documentation of compliance activities, such as complaints received or investigation outcomes.
- Ensure that all compliance and health and safety documentation is up to date and easily accessible.

**Training and Development**:

- Provide regular training sessions and resources for employees on compliance and health and safety topics.
- Develop and maintain an effective compliance communication program for the organization, including promoting a culture of compliance.

**Continuous Improvement**:

- Stay up to date with the latest regulatory developments in compliance and health and safety.
- Recommend and implement improvements to the compliance and health and safety programs.
- Conduct regular reviews of the company's compliance program to ensure its continued effectiveness.

**Requirements**:
**Qualifications / Accreditations**

**_ Essential:_**
- Experience as a Business Compliance Officer or similar role.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
- Previous experience in IMS, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO27001
- Internal auditor experience

(Dependent on experience some deficiency in essential qualifications overlooked if the applicant is currently working towards the qualification or is willing to do so)

**Other information**:
**Hours **- 15 to 22.5 hours (Days can be flexible) at least a 60% office and 40% WFH option

**Salary **- FTE £30k - £40k
