**Room Perfected is looking for a Driver to join our team in Ashton-Under-Lyne**

**Description**:
We are looking for an experienced driver to assist with customer deliveries and stock collections based at our unit in Ashton-under-Lyne.

We are a small team so hope to find someone willing to join us and help improve the efficiency of our various transport activities.

The job will consist of carrying out small, local, pre-planned delivery routes, delivering items of furniture and homewares to our customers as well as collecting stock from suppliers. You would also be required to work an overnight shift (Friday) roughly every fortnight, travelling to London and back on a larger delivery route with one other person.

Shifts would be on an 'as required' basis but would include a few short weekday shifts, one midweek evening shift (5pm-8pm) and Sunday (10am-3pm), as well as the above overnight route.

Some of our orders are bulky/heavy and are sometimes required to be carried upstairs so a good level of strength and fitness would be required for this role.

Experience in a similar role, either as a courier/delivery driver, is necessary, along with a good driving record and ability to safely drive and take care of the delivery vehicle.

Often, you would be the 'face' of our business, so a presentable appearance and polite/friendly manner are also very important.

**Duties**:

- Deliver orders to assigned customers in a safe and timely manner while maintaining courteous and positive attitude towards all customers.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean driving record.
- Assist with other activities as needed.
- Perform daily pre-trip inspection of vehicle, route, and schedule.
- Operate motor vehicle equipment in a safe manner, following safety procedures and guidelines.
- Perform all duties in a courteous, professional manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

**Experience**:

- Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record (required)

**Salary**: £11.50 per hour
