Quality Inspector

**JOB- Quality Inspector**
**LOCATION- Dorset**
**SALARY- £28,000-£33,000 per annum**
We are looking for Quality Inspector on a permanent basis in the Dorset area to ensure that items are conformed to the correct quality, technical & dimensional requirements to the relevant standards whilst responsible for reporting non-conformances.**The Quality Inspector will ideally have the following attributes**:

- 2 years experience working in a similar role in the Aerospace or Defence industry
- Ability to understand engineering instructions, processes, and drawings
- IPC 610/620 experience beneficial
- 2 years experience in a Quality inspector role in production environmen
- Fundamental knowledge of manual measurement
- Keen eye for detail
- Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings, technical specifications, wiring schedules/schematics and circuit diagrams.

**The Quality Inspector role will involve**:

- Goods In inspection against drawing and criteria from Quality Engineer
- Attend and contribute to production meetings
- As required, participate in root cause analysis and assist in improvement activities to promote right first time.
- Logging inspection status on records on the MRP system
- Ensure products are manufactured efficiently and in most cost-effective way
- Write non-conformance reports for assemblies and discrepancies with materials that do not meet the specification, for internal and external use
- Fundamental knowledge of manual measurement
- Report on conformance of electrical assemblies as part of line and roving inspection routine
- Takes responsibility for ownership of issues and problems providing effective practical solutions
