**Freelance Tutor/Assessor, or Part-time employed.**

**Tutor/Assessor**

The Tutor/Assessor will deliver both remote online and classroom courses, and support learners in completing qualifications by self-study distance learning.

**We are looking for additional freelance Tutors or a part-time Tutor/Assessor, to deliver/assess the following courses**:

- Level 3 Award in Education and Training
- Level 3 Assessor quals (e.g. CAVA)
- Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training
- Level 4 IQA Qualifications

Our office is located just a mile from Newcastle city centre, with modern facilities, free car parking and good public transport links. The role may be required to occasionally travel nationally and internationally to deliver courses on customer premises when required.

**Typical duties will include**:

- Responsible for the delivery and assessment of teaching and assessor qualifications.
- Carrying out initial assessments and induction calls with distance learning students.
- Delivery of training using Microsoft Teams and/or face-to-face classroom delivery.
- Carrying out remote observations and professional discussions.
- Marking assignments and providing feedback to learners.
- Preparing portfolios for IQA, ensuring company policies are followed.
- Assisting with the development and continuous improvement of learning resources.
- Provide appropriate information, advice, guidance and support learners with progression and career guidance.

**Essential Criteria**
- Trustworthy, have an excellent work ethic and appreciate confidentiality.
- Confident with the use of IT, familiar with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams.
- Trusted to complete solo tasks, taking full responsibility for the learner’s journey.
- Attention to detail, well organised and good time management.
- Experience delivering train the trainer, teaching, and/or assessor qualifications.
- Experience delivering training in the classroom and online.
- Commitment to continuous professional development (CPD)
- Willing to study up to Level 5 if not already held.
- Be able to obtain an enhanced criminal record check.

**Essential qualifications**:

- English and Maths GCSE C / 4 or above, or Level 2 functional skills equivalent.
- A teaching or training qualification, as a minimum the Level 3 Award in Education and Training.
- An assessor qualification, ideally the CAVA / A1 qualification.

**Desirable qualifications**:

- Level 4 CET, Level 5 DET/DTLLS, PGCE or equivalent.
